Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg celebrated their Silver (25th) Wedding Anniversary with a spectacular, multi-day festivity in June 2006. The celebrations officially kicked off with an elegant gala performance and tribute held at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg on June 30, 2006

The couple got married in 1981.

What a happy occasion that was! Most everybody looked great, with one exception. I must say that the Infanta Elena looked her best while she was married to Jaime Marichalar. That red dress she’s wearing is fabulous! It’s also very poignant to see the Late Grand Duke Jean and Prince Kardam present and enjoying themselves. To think that next year on St. Valentine’s Day, they will hopefully be celebrating their 30th Anniversary! I don’t anticipate a big celebration like this one, though, not unless things have come back to normal. A lot of things have happened since 1986!
