Of unknown origin, this striking Diamond Butterfly Tiara was created by Van Cleef & Arpels and features pave-set Diamond Butterflies within a foliate design. The Tiara may have been a gift to Countess Stephanie de Lannoy when she married Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg in 2012, or a gift for her 30th birthday in 2014.
Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie debuted this Diamond Butterfly Tiara at the National Day Gala held at the Palais Grand Ducal in 2014.
Two years later, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore the Diamond Butterfly Tiara for the National Day Gala in 2016.
The most recent appearances of the Diamond Butterfly Tiara came in 2017, when Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore the Tiara for the Portuguese State Visit to Luxembourg. There is no doubt we will see it worn again for years to come!
