Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle
Following the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey and the Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace, the British Royal Family attended a Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on the evening of May 7th.
Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla
Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.
Coronation Reception at Buckingham Palace
On the eve of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Foreign Royalty and Heads of State who are in London to attend the Coronation. Earlier, the Royal Family hosted a Reception for Realm Governors General and Commonwealth Prime Minsters.
Governors General and Prime Ministers Lunch at Buckingham Palace
On the day before the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for Realm Governors General and Commonwealth Prime Minsters who are in London to attend the Coronation.
Garden Party at Buckingham Palace
The Royal Family hosted the first annual Garden Party of 2023 at Buckingham Palace on May 3rd, for the first time in the King’s Reign just days before the Coronation. There are usually four annual Garden Parties hosted by the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Holyrood House for around 30,000 guests yearly, as well as a few special others. Easter at Windsor Castle
The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Easter Sunday Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on April 9th, which is also the Anniversary of the Wedding of the King and Queen and the Death of the Duke of Edinburgh in 2021.
Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey 2023
King Charles III, Head of the Commonwealth, and Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch) were accompanied by the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence as they attended the annual Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on March 13th. The King is the Head of the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth Service is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in the United Kingdom.
Prince Edward created Duke of Edinburgh
King Charles III has conferred the Dukedom of Edinburgh upon The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Forfar, on the occasion of his 59th birthday. The Dukedom, which was previously held by his father, the late Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh, will be held by the Prince for his lifetime. Continue reading
Christmas at Sandringham
The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family attended the annual Christmas Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk on December 25th. Most of the members of the family are staying on the Sandringham Estate for the Holiday Season, for the first time since 2019.
