Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the Danish Royal Family are still hosting King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain on their State Visit to Denmark from November 6th to the 8th. While the focus of the State Visit is green transition, the pharmaceutical industry and shipping, the Danish and Spanish Royal Families have close family ties, as both Sovereigns are descendants of King Christian IX of Denmark and Queen Victoria. The last Spanish State Visit to Denmark was in 1980, while Queen Margrethe made a Return State Visit to Spain in 1983.

Princess of Asturias Awards 2023

The Princess of Asturias was joined by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, Queen Sofia, and Infanta Sofia in Oviedo this week to preside over the 2023 Princess of Asturias Awards, to deliver a series of prizes to individuals, entities or companies from around the world who make notable achievements in the sciences, humanities, and public affairs.  Established in 1980, the Princess of Asturias Foundation is a private non-profit institution, whose objectives are to contribute to the exaltation and promotion of how many scientific, cultural and humanistic values are universal heritage and consolidate their links to the Principality of Asturias. Royalty at Wimbledon 2023

The Royal Family have been present at multiple days of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon this month, so we are rounding them all in this article. Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. The Princess of Wales is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club while the Duchess of Gloucester is the President of the Lawn Tennis Association .
