Portuguese State Visit to Belgium

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are hosting the President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of the Republic of Portugal on a State Visit to Belgium from October 16 to 19, at the invitation of the Belgian Government to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, under the themes of digitalization, innovation and energy. The Belgian King and Queen went on a State Visit to Portugal in 2018.

Prince Christian of Denmark’s 18th Birthday

Prince Christian of Denmark is celebrating his 18th Birthday today, which is being marked with an appearance on the Balcony of Amalienborg Palace and a Gala Dinner at Christiansborg Palace as well as a meeting of the Council of State to be held in November. The eldest child of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, Prince Christian is second-in-line to the Danish throne.

Wedding of Archduke Alexander of Austria and Countess Natacha Roumiantzoff-Pachkevitch

Archduke Alexander of Austria, son of Archduke Carl-Christian of Austria and Princess Marie-Astrid of Luxembourg, married Countess Natacha Roumiantzoff-Pachkevitch at the Eglise Saint Pierre de Belœil on September 30th, followed by a Reception at the Chateau de Belœil, the Seat of the Princes of Ligne, just days after the death of his grandmother, Archduchess Yolande, born a Princess of Ligne. Duchess of Brabant’s Swearing-In at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels

The Belgian Royal Family gathered to see Crown Princess Elisabeth, the Duchess of Brabant, the Heiress to the Belgian Throne, sworn-in to the Rank of Second Lieutenant or Ensign Second Class in the Belgian Army at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels on September 26th. The Duchess of Brabant completed her training year at the Royal Military Academy in 2021 and is currently a student at Lincoln College in Oxford University.
