Happy Birthday to Crown Princess Mary of Denmark! Born in Australia to parents of Scottish descent, she met Crown Prince Frederik at the Slip Inn Bar in Sydney, during the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Their engagement was announced in 2003, and the couple married in a lavish ceremony in May 2004. The Crown Prince couple have four children, Prince ChristianPrincess Isabella, and Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. Crown Princess Mary supports her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, in official duties such as the New Year’s LeveesState Visits, and Official Visits abroad. She also supports charitable organisations, such as the Mary Foundation (named in her honour), the Cancer Society, and champions danish interests abroad. We wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and many Happy Returns!

  1. I wonder if princess Mary had to curtsy to queen Rania?? I can’t wait for Mary to become the queen. Can’t wait for other ladies to curtsy before her!!!!!

    She has only been a great asset, ambassador[dress] for her adopted country, Denmark. One of her greatest achievements – learning the difficult Danish language!!! And so devoted to her husband, children, duties, etc!!!!
