Queen Máxima, the Princess of Orange, Prince Constantjin and Princess Laurentien joined King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands as he gave the annual Prinsjesdag (Prince’s Day or Budget Day) Speech to the Dutch Parliament to outline the government’s agenda for the coming session on September 20th in The Hague. The annual ceremony is held on the third Tuesday of every September, and it was the first time that the Princess of Orange has attended.
Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands are on a State Visit to the Republic of Austria form June 27th to the 29th, at the invitation of Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen. The theme of the visit is sustainable mobility, connected society and cultural exchange, highlighting the strong ties and boosting relations between the two countries. Foreign Royal Guests joined the Norwegian Royal Family for Princess Ingrid Alexandra’s 18th Birthday Banquet at the Royal Palace in Oslo on June 17th, as part of her delayed 18th Birthday Celebrations. Princess Ingrid Alexandra turned 18 in January, but the celebrations were delayed due to the pandemic, with a Gala Dinner hosted by the Norwegian Government yesterday. Continue reading
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands were joined by members of the extended Dutch Royal Family, including the Princess of Orange, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane, for the annual Koningsdag (King’s Day) celebrations in Maastricht on April 27th. Koningsdag, a Bank Holiday in the Netherlands, celebrates King Willem-Alexander’s Birthday, and members of the Royal Family attend celebrations in a different city each year. Continue reading
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands are hosting President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind of India, on their three-day State Visit to The Netherlands from April 4th to the 6th to promote and celebrate diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties in the year that both countries celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations, most recently the King and Queen’s State Visit to India in 2019.
