Queen at Army and Navy Club

The Queen and Princess Royal attended a reception at the Army and Navy Club to mark the Centenary of the Women’s Royal Navy Service and the Women’s Auxiliary Army Corp on October 12th. The Queen is Patron of the WRAC (Women’s Auxiliary Army Corps) Association and the Princess Royal is Patron and supporter of the WRNS Benevolent Trust, Patron of the Association of Wrens and  Patron of the WRNS100 Project. She is Admiral and Chief Commandant for Women in the Royal Navy. Continue reading

Sapphire Jubilee Snowflake Brooch

One of the most recognizable symbols of the Queen are the glittering gem-encrusting brooches sparkling on her lapel. On a visit to Canada House in Trafalgar Square in July 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation, the Queen was presented with a lovely surprise- the new Sapphire Jubilee Snowflake Brooch. Spanish State Visit to Britain- Day 3

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain just finished their 3-day State Visit to Britain, from July 12th to the 14th, on advice from the Spanish Government, to strengthen political, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries.
