Yesterday marks the 130th Anniversary of the Birth of the Nadejda Mountbatten, Marchioness of Milford Haven, who was born in 1896! The morganatic member of the Russian Imperial Family who married a Battenberg Prince and became a Marchioness, becoming closely related to the British Royal Family as the aunt of the Duke of Edinburgh, so today we are revisiting the magnificent Milford Haven Ruby Kokoshnik!

The Teck Princess who lived through the reigns of six monarchs and was the Queen Consort for twenty-five years, as well as a Queen Mother to two Kings and the Queen Grandmother to Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Mary assembled much of the British Royal Family’s massive Jewellery Collection, which included Queen Charlotte’s Amethyst Tiara and Parure!
