Wedding of Princess Maud of Fife and Lord Carnegie, 1923

The extended British Royal Family and Foreign Royal Guests celebrated the Wedding of the King’s niece Princess Maud of Fife and Lord Carnegie in the Guard’s Chapel in Wellington Barracks in London on this day in 1923, 100 years ago. This was the fourth and final royal wedding held in London that year, following the Wedding of the Duke of York and Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the Wedding of the Duke of Beaufort and Lady Mary Cambridge, and the Wedding of Crown Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden and Lady Louise Mountbatten.

Spanish State Visit to Denmark | Day 3

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the Danish Royal Family are still hosting King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain on their State Visit to Denmark from November 6th to the 8th. While the focus of the State Visit is green transition, the pharmaceutical industry and shipping, the Danish and Spanish Royal Families have close family ties, as both Sovereigns are descendants of King Christian IX of Denmark and Queen Victoria. The last Spanish State Visit to Denmark was in 1980, while Queen Margrethe made a Return State Visit to Spain in 1983.
