Royal Guests and Relatives have gathered from around Europe to celebrate the Wedding of Duchess Pauline of Württemberg and Count Constantin of Königsegg-Aulendorf in the Klosterkirche St. Quirinus at Schloss Tegernsee on October 17th.
Duchess Pauline of Württemberg, daughter of Duke Philipp of Württemberg and Duchess Marie-Caroline in Bavaria, married Count Constantin of Königsegg-Aulendorf, son of Count Markus of Königsegg-Aulendorf and Countess Philippa of Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems, in the Klosterkirche St. Quirinus in Schloss Tegernsee, which will be followed by a Ball this evening at Schloss Tegernsee, one of the residences of her maternal grandparents, the Duke and Duchess in Bavaria.
Pauline, Duchess of Württemberg (29), and Constantin, Count of Königsegg-Aulendorf (33), were married on Saturday in the baroque St. Quirinus Castle Church on Lake Tegernsee . The couple had already exchanged vows in a civil ceremony in July at Halbturn Castle in Austria.
At 11:01 a.m., the bride entered the church accompanied by her father, Philipp, Duke of Württemberg. Her dress was custom-made by the Valenzuela atelier in Madrid. She wore a nearly three-meter-long veil and a diamond tiara in the shape of wheat ears, which belonged to the House of Württemberg. Constantin zu Königsegg-Aulendorf awaited her at the altar.
A guest who attended the ceremony told the “Bild” newspaper: When the bride entered, time seemed to stand still for a brief moment. “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house because she was so radiant.” As the newly married couple left the church, there was applause in the churchyard. It came from family, but also from around 100 onlookers.
Duchess Pauline wore a Diamond Ears of Wheat Tiara which once belonged to Queen Eleonore of Bulgaria and likely originated from Princess Clementine d’Orlèans. The Tiara was likely loaned by Duchess Sophie of Württemberg, daughter of Duke Albrecht Eugen of Württemberg and Princess Nadezhda of Bulgaria.
