Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.

On the eve of the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Foreign Royalty and Heads of State who are in London to attend the Coronation. Earlier, the Royal Family hosted a Reception for Realm Governors General and Commonwealth Prime Minsters.
Queen Margrethe’s 83rd Birthday
The extended Danish Royal Family joined Queen Margrethe II on the Balcony of Amalienborg Palace to mark her 83rd Birthday on April 16th. This was the first time the Danish Royal Family have celebrated Queen Margrethe’s Birthday at Amalienborg since 2018, and today also mark’s Queen Margrethe’s return to public duties after her back surgery. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in India
Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark are on an Official Visit to India from February 26th to March 1st, visiting the cities of Agra, Delhi, and Chennai for a business promotion of 38 Danish companies with a green business focus on water and energy in India. Last year, the Danish Royal Family hosted an Official Dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Knights’ Hall of Christian VII’s Palace at Amalienborg.
Funeral of King Constantine II of Greece
Royal Guests from around the world joined the Greek Royal Family for the the Funeral of King Constantine II of Greece at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens at noon on January 16th, which will be followed by the Burial in the Royal Cemetery at Tatoi Palace. The former King Constantine II was an Olympic Gold Medalist before becoming the Sovereign for nine years and then being exiled for over 40 years, returning to Greece only a decade ago. The Danish Royal Family joined Queen Margrethe for the annual New Year’s Court (Nytårskur) and Banquet hosted at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg in Copenhagen on January 1st. Two more New Year’s Levees will be held later this week, all for the first time since 2020.

Following her Golden Jubilee Gala and Banquet as well as the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark tested positive for covid, and thus Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary presided over tonight’s Banquet and Ball at Christiansborg Palace, which mark the end of Queen Margrethe’s Golden Jubilee.
Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
Foreign Royal Guests and Relatives and Heads of State and Representatives of 121 Countries joined the British Royal Family for the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on September 19th, followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, had been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week.
