Happy Birthday to Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, who turns 24 today! The eldest son of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, he is the eldest of four children. Born during the reign of his grandfather, he not expected to ascend the throne, not even after the sudden accession of his father in 1999. He was only conferred the title of Crown Prince in 2009. Educated in Jordan, the UK, and the US, he graduated from the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst last year. Crown Prince Hussein undertakes a wide variety of official engagements, which have included giving Jordan’s speech at the UN General Assembly. I wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
