Royal Guests and Relatives from around Scandinavia have joined the Swedish Royal Family to celebrate King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee this week, with the festivities continuing with a Jubilee Te Deum in the Chapel of the Royal Palace of Stockholm, following last night’s Gala Performance at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden becomes the first Swedish Monarch to celebrate his Golden Jubilee today.

The Swedish Royal Family were joined by the Nordic Royal Guests and Heads of State, the government and party chairmen as well as the governors and representatives of authorities, party chairmen, representatives of religious communities and the serving and non-serving Court.
Following the service, the King and Prince Carl Phillip viewed the a Changing of the Guard in the Courtyard of the Royal Palace of Stockholm, which was followed by a splendid a Singer’s Tribute, that was viewed by the Royal Family and the Royal Guests from the Balcony of the Royal Palace.
As expected, Queen Silvia is wearing the Braganza Tiara for King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Jubilee Banquet at the Royal Palace of Stockholm tonight. Royal Guests and Relatives joined the Swedish Royal Family for last night’s Gala Performance of the Swedish Royal Opera at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre, to launch King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
On the final day of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the King and Queen traveled in a Procession though the streets of Stockholm, before boarding the Royal Barge. In the evening, the Swedish Royal Family attended a Concert hosted by the City of Stockholm at Norrbro, which marked the end of the Golden Jubilee.
