Happy Birthday to Queen Rania of Jordan! The daughter of Palestinian parents born in Kuwait, she was educated in Kuwait and Cairo. In 1992, she married Prince Abdullah of Jordan, son of King Hussein. The couple have four children, including Crown Prince Hussein. In 1999, just weeks before his death, King Hussein suddenly replaced his brother as Crown Prince with Prince Abdullah. Just a month after his accession, King Abdullah made her Queen Rania, otherwise she would have been known as Princess Consort, the then youngest Queen in the world. Queen Rania is an advocate for education, health, community empowerment, youth, cross-cultural dialogue and micro-finance. She is also an avid user of social media, reaching out from her Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter accounts. We wish HM a very Happy Birthday and many Happy Returns!
