British Royal Titles are often misunderstood! That’s not to say they are extremely complicated, but the rules regarding titles are not exactly simple. Following the recent interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the rules around Titles have been further misinterpreted so assistant editor Gabriel Aquino has written a guide to British Royal Titles!
The Royal Family presided over the Opening of the Festival of Britain on this day in 1951, exactly 70 years ago, which promoted British science, technology, industrial design, architecture and the arts following the devastation of the Second World War. The exhibition was visited by millions of people and reshaped British arts, crafts, designs and sports for a generation.

Today marks the 125th Anniversary of the birth of Queen Helen of Romania, who was born on this day in 1896! Happy Birthday to Lady Sarah Chatto, who turns 57 today! The only daughter of Princess Margaret and Anthony Armstrong Jones, Lord Snowdon, she was born during the Royal Baby Boom of 1964, and is the only niece of Queen Elizabeth II. Inheriting the bulk of her mother’s jewellery collection, Lady Sarah wears quite a lot of special heirloom pieces these days, including Princess Margaret’s Sapphire Earrings!

There are a variety of illustrious Royal and Noble Jewels on Auction at the Bonhams London Jewels Sale on April 28, most notably three pendants from the collection of Margaret, Duchess of Somerset, with royal provenance, as well as two splendid bracelets from the collection of Anne, Countess of Rosse, the mother-in-law of Princess Margaret.
The Duke of Cambridge and the Princess Royal marked Anzac Day on April 25th, commemorating all Australians and New Zealanders killed in war and honouring returned servicemen and women. Anzac Day has been commemorated in London since the first anniversary of the Anzac landings at Gallipoli in 1916, when King George V attended a service at Westminster Abbey and more than 2,000 Australian and New Zealand troops marched through the streets, becoming an important moment to recognise the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who died at Gallipoli in the First World War and during the D-Day landings during the Second World War, and to honour the sacrifices of men and women in all wars. Anzac Day is commemorated as a public holiday in both countries with memorial ceremonies held at various locations.

The British commoner who was the as the second wife of King Hussein, she remains a valued member of the Jordanian Royal Family as the mother current King Abdullah II of Jordan.
