Royal Family at Badminton Horse Trials, 1961

The Queen was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon, as they attended the Badminton Horse Trials on this day in 1961, on the Duke of Beaufort’s Badminton Estate. Princess Anne and Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood also joined them for one day during their stay. The then Duke of Beaufort was married to Lady Mary Cambridge, a niece of Queen Mary, and the entire Royal Family stayed with them at the magnificent Badminton House during the Badminton Horse Trials.
