Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the Danish Royal Family are still hosting King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain on their State Visit to Denmark from November 6th to the 8th. While the focus of the State Visit is green transition, the pharmaceutical industry and shipping, the Danish and Spanish Royal Families have close family ties, as both Sovereigns are descendants of King Christian IX of Denmark and Queen Victoria. The last Spanish State Visit to Denmark was in 1980, while Queen Margrethe made a Return State Visit to Spain in 1983.

British State Visit to Kenya

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are on a State Visit to Kenya from October 31st to November 3rd, to celebrate the warm relationship between the two countries and the strong and dynamic partnership they continue to forge. This is the King’s first visit to a Commonwealth Nation since his accession, and particularly poignant since the late Queen acceded to the Throne while in Kenya in 1952. Portuguese State Visit to Belgium

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are hosting the President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of the Republic of Portugal on a State Visit to Belgium from October 16 to 19, at the invitation of the Belgian Government to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, under the themes of digitalization, innovation and energy. The Belgian King and Queen went on a State Visit to Portugal in 2018.

Dutch State Visit to Belgium

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are hosting King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands on their State Visit to Belgium from June 20th to the 22nd, which is the latest in the close relationship between the Dutch and Belgian Royal Families over decades. The themes of the visit are improving social and physical quality of life, combating climate change, maintaining and promoting a safe society and a sustainable future in which energy is green and affordable. The visit contributes to the further deepening of the intensive cooperation, in which the Netherlands and Belgium strive for a safe, clean and sustainable future.
