King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain are hosting Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman on a State Visit to Spain to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties, from November 3rd to the 5th. The State Visit had been postponed earlier the year due to the death of the Sultan’s mother-in-law.
In the morning, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia officially welcomed Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman in an Official Welcome Ceremony in the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Madrid. During the ceremony, the King and Sultan reviewed a battalion of the Royal Guard and viewed a parade.
Later, the King and Queen hosted a luncheon for the Sultan of Oman at the Palace of La Zarzuela, following a meeting between the King and the Sultan.
In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia held a State Banquet in honour of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Both the King and Sultan gave speeches.
Queen Letizia wore Queen Maria Cristina’s Loop Tiara and Queen Victoria Eugenie’s Diamond Earrings with the Collar of the Order of Oman.

I know I should be glad that the Queen wore a tiara, but I am feeling a little bit disappointed with her overall look. Whether it is the lack of additional jewels (especially a bracelet or two would have looked good on her with this dress) or if it is just the hair I don’t know. But it is not her best look imho.
