The British Royal Family are hosting French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at Windsor Castle on their State Visit to the United Kingdom this week, which is the latest in two centuries of French State Visits of Britain and follows the King and Queen’s State Visit to France in 2023.
The Prince and Princess of Wales (wearing Princess Diana’s Collingwood Pearl Earrings and a Pearl Necklace from the late Queen) greeted President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at RAF Northolt and traveled with them to Windsor.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Celtic Knot Brooch) received President Emmanuel Macron and the First Lady in an Official Welcome Ceremony in the town of Windsor before a Carriage Procession to Windsor Castle, where there was a Guard of Honour and a Lunch with members of the Royal Family.
In the evening, King Charles III and Queen Camilla held a State Banquet in honour of President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron at Windsor Castle. Both the King and President gave Speeches.
Queen Camilla wore Belgian Sapphire Tiara, the King George VI Sapphire Suite, the Legion of Honour, the Star of the Order of the Garter, and the Royal Family Order of King Charles III.
The Prince of Wales wore White Tie with the Garter, Sash and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Star of the Order of the Thistle, the Order of the Bath, and his Medals. The Princess of Wales wore Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara and the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings with the Sash and Star of the Royal Victorian Order, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Princess Royal wore her Diamond Festoon Tiara and Festoon Necklace, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Aquamarine Tiara with the Sash and Star of the Royal Victorian Order, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Gloucester wore the Teck Turquoise Tiara and Queen Mary’s Turquoise Fringe Necklace with the Order of the Garter, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
