Trooping the Colour 2022

Members of the British Royal family celebrated the Queen’s Official Birthday by attending the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London on June 2nd, launching the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend Festivities. They rode on horses and in carriages to inspect the guards at Horse Guards Parade and then watched a RAF Flypast from the Balcony of Buckingham Palace. The Duke of Cambridge presided over the Colonel’s Review of the Irish Guards last week.

Koningsdag 2022

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands were joined by members of the extended Dutch Royal Family, including the Princess of Orange, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane, for the annual Koningsdag (King’s Day) celebrations in Maastricht on April 27th. Koningsdag, a Bank Holiday in the Netherlands, celebrates King Willem-Alexander’s Birthday, and members of the Royal Family attend celebrations in a different city each year. Continue reading

Monaco National Day 2021

Prince Albert II of Monaco was joined by members of the extended Monegasque Princely Family for the annual National Day Celebrations in Monte Carlo on November 19th. National Day, also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day, is held on the day of St. Rainier, the namesake saint of Prince Rainier III, the father of Prince Albert. Princess Charlene is ill and recently arrived back in Monaco after months in South Africa.

Koningsdag 2021

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands were joined by the Princess of Orange (wearing Queen Juliana’s Aquamarine Earrings), Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane for the annual Koningsdag (King’s Day) celebrations at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven on April 27th, participating in a special online and TV broadcast through the theme of Making Knowledge due to the ongoing Pandemic.
