Monaco National Day 2021

Prince Albert II of Monaco was joined by members of the extended Monegasque Princely Family for the annual National Day Celebrations in Monte Carlo on November 19th. National Day, also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day, is held on the day of St. Rainier, the namesake saint of Prince Rainier III, the father of Prince Albert. Princess Charlene is ill and recently arrived back in Monaco after months in South Africa.

Spanish National Day 2021

King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain were joined by Infanta Sofia for the Spanish National Day Celebrations on October 12th in Madrid. Traditionally referred to as the Día de la Hispanidad, the La Fiesta Nacional de España commemorates the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus for Spain on 12 October 1492. Koningsdag 2021

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands were joined by the Princess of Orange (wearing Queen Juliana’s Aquamarine Earrings), Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane for the annual Koningsdag (King’s Day) celebrations at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven on April 27th, participating in a special online and TV broadcast through the theme of Making Knowledge due to the ongoing Pandemic. Koningsdag, a Bank Holiday in the Netherlands, celebrates King Willem-Alexander’s Birthday, and members of the Royal Family attend celebrations in a different city each year. Continue reading

Belgian National Day 2020

The Belgian Royal Family celebrated National Day 2020 with a series of events on July 21st. The day commemorates July 21st, 1831 in which Prince Leopold of Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha swore allegiance to the new Belgian constitution, thus becoming the first Head of State of an independent state of Belgium under a constitutional monarchy and parliament. The day also marks the Anniversary of King Philippe’s Accession. Continue reading
