Prince Albert II of Monaco was joined by members of the extended Monegasque Princely Family for the annual National Day Celebrations in Monte Carlo on November 19th. National Day, also known as The Sovereign Prince’s Day, is held on the day of St. Rainier, the namesake saint of Prince Rainier III, the father of Prince Albert. Princess Charlene is ill and recently arrived back in Monaco after months in South Africa.

In the morning, Prince Albert, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were joined by Princess Caroline (wearing the Order of Saint-Charles) and Princess Stephanie (in the Order of Grimaldi), their children, respective spouses, and grandchildren for reviewing the Guard in the Courtyard of the Palais du Prince, which was followed by a special National Day Mass at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Monte Carlo. Afterwards, the group was joined by the children on the Balcony of the Palace to watch the military parade.

In the evening, Prince Albert and Princess Caroline (wearing Princess Charlotte’s Cartier Sapphire Suite) were joined by Charlotte Casiraghi, Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo and Gareth Wittstock for the annual Monaco National Day Gala Performance at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo.
