When Claire Coombs married Prince Laurent of Belgium in 2003, she received a a delicate antique diamond tiara as a wedding gift from King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium, which she first wore on her Wedding Day and on several occasions including the Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark in 2004 before it disappeared from public view.
In 2010, Princess Claire debuted this new Pearl and Diamond Tiara at the Wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in Stockholm. It is unknown if the wedding tiara still exists and Princess Claire acquired a new one, or if the older one was sold or traded to buy the Pearl and Diamond Tiara.
The following year, Princess Claire wore the Pearl and Diamond Tiara at the Wedding Ball of Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco in Monte Carlo.
Princess Claire also wore the Pearl and Diamond Tiara for the Wedding Gala of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy in 2012, again, as always paired with the Pearl and Diamond Earrings which were a wedding gift from Queen Paola’s family.
Princes Claire’s most recent Tiara appearance was during the French State Visit to Belgium in 2018, when she again paired the Tiara with the Pearl Earrings. Since she was not present for the Dutch State Visit last year, it is unknown when Princess Claire will be seen wearing this Tiara but lets hope we see it worn again soon!
