Royal Guests at the Wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Royal Guests from around the world joined the Swedish Royal Family to celebrate the Wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden (wearing the Modern Fringe Tiara) and Christopher O’Neill in the Chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm on this day in 2013, 10 years ago, followed by a Reception at the Drottningholm Palace. 

King Carl XVI Gustaf wore the mess dress model 1878 of a Captain in the Swedish Amphibious Corps with the Order of the Seraphim. Queen Silvia wore a jade-coloured silk organza, embroidered silk lace and Swarovski stones dress with Queen Sofia’s 9-Prong Tiara with a diamond riviere and the Karl Johan Earrings.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a Fadi El Khoury ‘greige rosé dress with aubergine accents’ with Princess Lilian’s Laurel Wreath Tiara and Queen Josefina’s Diamond Stomacher Necklace. Prince Daniel wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim. Prince Carl Philip wore the mess dress model 1878 of a Captain in the Swedish Amphibious Corps with the Order of the Seraphim and his other decorations.

Crown Prince Frederik wore Uniform with the Order of the Seraphim. Crown Princess Mary wore a neon coral gown with her Midnight Tiara, Diamond Dulong earrings, and the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Marie  wore a pale pink gown with her Diamond Floral Tiara and the Order of the Elephant. Prince Joachim wore Uniform with the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Benedikte wore a pale green gown with Queen Sofia’s Pearl and Star Tiara, Queen Alexandrine’s Diamond Sautoir, pearl earrings, Queen Ingrid’s Diamond Stars, and the Order of the Polar Star.

Crown Prince Haakon wore Uniform with the Order of the Seraphim. Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a tiered pastel gown with her Amethyst Necklace Tiara and the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Märtha Louise wore a purple gown with the smaller version of Queen Maud’s Pearl Tiara and her Tanzanite Suite and the Order of the Polar Star. Ari Behn wore White Tie.

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume wore Uniform with the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore an Elie Saab gown with the Citrine or Topaz Tiara and the Order of Adolphe of Nassau.

The Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, the Hereditary Prince and Hereditary Princess Kelly of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (who wore the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Turquoise Tiara) were present as were Prince Leopold and Princess Ursula of Bavaria as well as Prince Manuel of Bavaria and Princess Anna of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (who wore the small Fringe Tiara from her family).

Countess Marianne Bernadotte of Wisborg wore and Amethyst Tiara while Countess Gunnila Bernadotte wore her Pearl and Diamond Tiara.
