Royal Variety Performance 2023

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden joined the Prince and Princess of Wales to attend the Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on November 30th, during their Official Visit to Britain. The Performance is in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, of which the late Queen was patron, which helps entertainers throughout the UK, who need help and assistance as a result of old age, ill-health, or hard times.

Swedish Royal Visits to Britain

As  Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden begin their Official Visit to Britain today, it is confirmed that they will be received by the Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor Castle tomorrow, ahead of the Royal Variety Performance. The Swedish and British Royal Families have had a long and close family relationship over the years, with several Official and Private Royal Visits to Britain over the last century!

Queen in Panama, 1953

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh continued their 6-month Commonwealth Tour in Panama, on this day in 1953, following Tours around the United Kingdom after the Queen’s Coronation. The stops in BermudaJamaica, and Panama were followed by visits to FijiTongaNew ZealandAustraliaCeylon, Aden, Uganda, Malta and Gibraltar. Panama became the first foreign nation visited by the Queen after her accession.
