Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia, daughter of Grand Duke Vladimir Kirillovich of Russia and Princess Leonida Bagration of Mukhrani, married Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia, son of Prince Karl Franz of Prussia and Princess Henriette of Schönaich-Carolath, in an Orthodox Ceremony at the Church of the Saints Apostle Andrew the First-Called and Great Martyr Demetrius of Solunsky in Madrid, following a Civil Ceremony in Dinard. The couple had one son, Grand Duke George Mikhailovich, before their divorce in 1985.

Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna wore the Chaumet Bagration Tiara.
