King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid’s Silver Anniversary, 1960

King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark were joined by members of the extended Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish Royal Families, as well as Royal Relatives from Britain, Luxembourg, and Germany, as they celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary at Fredensborg Palace on this day in 1960.

The highlight of the celebrations was a Banquet hosted by King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid (wearing the Danish Ruby Parure) at Fredensborg Palace, at which the Royal attendees included King Gustaf VI Adolf (father of the Queen)and Queen Louise of Sweden (in the Baden Fringe Tiara), King Olav V of Norway (cousin of the King), the Prince (cousin of the King) and Princess of Prussia (wearing the Prussian Clover Coronet), the Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Schwerin (aunt of the King, in her Fabergé Aquamarine and Diamond Tiara), Lady Patricia Ramsay (aunt of the Queen, wearing her Diamond Tiara), Princess Sibylla of Sweden (sister-in-law of the Queen, in the Connaught Diamond Tiara), Princess Astrid of Norway, Grand Duke Jean and Grand Duchess Joséphine Charlotte of Luxembourg, alongside members of the extended Danish Royal Family, which included Hereditary Prince Knud and Hereditary Princess Caroline-Mathilde (in Queen Alexandrine’s Fringe Tiara), Princess Dagmar (wearing her Diamond Floral Tiara), Prince Axel of Denmark and Princess Margaretha of Sweden (in her Floral Tiara), Princess Margaret of Denmark and Bourbon-Parma, Prince and Princess Viggo, Prince George and Princess Anne, Count Flemming and Countess Ruth of Rosenborg.
