Three Kings, Six Queens, and the Heirs of Spain, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Greece, and Brunei were among the Royal Guests at the Wedding of then Crown Prince Hamzah of Jordan and Princess Noor bint Asem at the Zahran Palace in Amman on this day in 2004.
Crown Prince Hamzah of Jordan, son of King Hussein and Queen Noor, married Princess Noor bint Asem at the Raghdan Palace in Amman on this day in 2004, following a Katb Al Kitab Ceremony held the previous summer. This was the third Wedding of an Heir that month, following the Wedding of Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and the Wedding of the Prince of Asturias but unlike the two others, Prince Hamzah and Princess Noor got divorced in 2009, and Prince Hamzah was rescinded as the Heir in 2004, replaced by his nephew, the current Crown Prince Hussein. He is currently under house arrest since 2021, after being accused of attempting to destabilise the Kingdom of Jordan and fomenting unrest.
In the evening, King Abdullah II, Queen Rania and Queen Noor held a Reception at the Zahran Palace in Amman.
