Happy Birthday to Princess Iman bint Abdullah of Jordan, who turns 27 today! The accomplished Jordanian Princess who is the elder daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, and a newlywed, today we are featuring Princess Iman’s spectacular Wedding Tiara!
When Queen Rania shared a video that included a portrait of Princess Iman wearing her Diamond Tiara, ahead of her Wedding in March, many speculated that Princess Iman will be wearing that tiara on her wedding.
However, when we first glimpsed Princess Iman on the arm of her brother, she was wearing this striking new Tiara for her Wedding to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis at the Beit Al Urdun Palace in Amman.
The Tiara, no doubt a wedding gift from King Abdullah II and Queen Rania, consists of a modulated diamond fringe design set a row of navette cut diamonds underneath a row of pear cut diamonds, with scrolls of Arabic script on each end, saying: ‘Allah’s Greatness’.
Just a few weeks after her wedding, Princess Iman wore her Diamond Tiara for the Wedding Banquet of her brother, Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan, at the Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman, which was the first Gala Event hosted by the Jordanian Royal Family in decades.
Jordanian Royal Tiara events are extremely rare and it will be rare for Princes Iman to wear her Wedding Tiara except maybe for portraits, though there might be an opportunity next year, when King Abdullah celebrates his Silver Jubilee. Let’s hope we see this spectacular Tiara worn again soon!
