King Paul and Queen Frederica in America, 1953

King Paul and Queen Frederica of Greece visited New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, New Orleans, Huston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco on their 37-day ‘Goodwill Visit’ to the United States of America on this day in 1953, 70 years ago. Queen Frederica returned to America for a visit in 1964, while King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie paid a visit to New York and Washington in 1967.

British State Visit to Kenya 

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are on a State Visit to Kenya from October 31st to November 3rd, to celebrate the warm relationship between the two countries and the strong and dynamic partnership they continue to forge. This is the King’s first visit to a Commonwealth Nation since his accession, and particularly poignant since the late Queen acceded to the Throne while in Kenya in 1952.
