After the success of their visit to the United States the previous year, the Prince of Wales and Princess Anne began an Official Visit to Kenya on this day in 1971, which the Princess also undertook in her role as President of the Save the Children Fund, which included meeting a crowd of orphans during a football match at Starehe Boys’ Centre in Nairobi.
