Heads of State Reception at Buckingham Palace

Ahead of the Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey tomorrow, the British Royal Family hosted a Reception for visiting Heads of State and Representatives at Buckingham Palace, which is stated to be one of the largest gatherings of Heads of State in History. The late Queen, who passed away at Balmoral Castle earlier this month, has been Lying-in-State first at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh and then at Westminster Hall in London for the past week, with the Funeral at Westminster Abbey tomorrow to be followed by a Procession to Marble Arch and a Committal Service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Norwegian State Visit to Jordan

King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan hosted King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway on their State Visit to Jordan from March 2nd to the 4th, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties. This is the first Norwegian State Visit to the Middle East, 20 years after the Jordanian State Visit to Norway, as well as the 50th State Visit of King Harald’s Reign and the first official incoming visit to Jordan in King Abdullah’s reign. Jordanian Official Visit to the Netherlands

King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan are on an Official State Visit to the Netherlands, at the invitation of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, to strengthen and celebrate their political, economic and cultural ties as well as their common work in employment, education and the reception of refugees. Royals from around the world have been in New York City this week for the 72nd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. They also attended events surrounding Goalkeepers 2017, organized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to highlight progress against global poverty and disease, showcase solutions to help advance the Sustainable Development Goals (or Global Goals) and foster bold leadership to help accelerate the path to a more prosperous, healthy and just future.
