Jordanian State Visit to Sweden, 2003

King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden are setting out on a State Visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan today, where they will be hosted by King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, so this gives us the perfect opportunity to feature the Jordanian State Visit to Sweden in 2003.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania were received by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl Philip at the airport before joining King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia for the Official Welcome Ceremony.

That evening, the Swedish King (in the Order of Al-Hussein bin Ali) and Queen (wearing Queen Sofia’s 9-Prong Tiara and the Supreme Order of the Renaissance) hosted a spectacular State Banquet for King Abdullah (in the Order of the Seraphim) and Queen Rania (wearing the Boucheron Emerald Tiara and the Order of the Seraphim) at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, which was also attended by Crown Princess Victoria (in the Baden Fringe Tiara and Supreme Order of the Renaissance), Princess Lillian (wearing the Laurel Wreath Tiara, Egyptian Necklace and Order of the Star of Jordan), Prince Carl Philip, and Princess Madeleine (in the Modern Fringe Tiara) as well as Prince Ali of Jordan (wearing the Order of the Polar Star).

The following day, following a series of joint engagements the following day, King Abdullah and Queen Rania hosted a Return Dinner for the Swedish Royal Family at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm.
