King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are hosting King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands on their State Visit to Belgium from June 20th to the 22nd, which is the latest in the close relationship between the Dutch and Belgian Royal Families over decades. The themes of the visit are improving social and physical quality of life, combating climate change, maintaining and promoting a safe society and a sustainable future in which energy is green and affordable. The visit contributes to the further deepening of the intensive cooperation, in which the Netherlands and Belgium strive for a safe, clean and sustainable future.

The Danish-born wife of the late Queen’s cousin, the Duchess has been a hardworking member of the Royal Family for 50 years, and possesses an enormous collection of heirloom jewellery, bigger than some main royal collections, the highlight of which is the versatile Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara!
The British Royal Family joined the King and Queen to attend the Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on June 19th, following Trooping the Colour and the Coronation. The oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, the Most Noble Order of the Garter was founded by King Edward III in 1348, and is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales and 24 members as well as members of the Royal Family, known as Royal Knights and Ladies, and Foreign Sovereigns, known as Stranger (or Extra) Knights and Ladies. King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway are being hosted by Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and the Danish Royal Family on an Official Visit to Denmark on June 15th and 16th.
