The Princess of Asturias joined King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia as they presided over the ceremony of delivery of Dispatches and appointments to the new officers of the Army who have completed their training at the Academia General Militar in Zaragoza. The Princess of Asturias will begin three years of military training at the Academia General Militar in September, followed by a year in a Naval School and a third year in the Air Force Academy.
Tomorrow, Tamara Falcó, Marchioness of Griñón will marry Iñigo Onieva in a grand ceremony in the El Rincón Palace. King Charles III will be presented with the Honours of Scotland during a ‘Scottish Coronation’ Service of Thanksgiving at St. Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh today, following the Coronation at Westminster Abbey in May. The oldest surviving Crown Jewels in the British Isles, the Honours of Scotland, Seudan a’ Chrùin Albannaich in Gaelic, are usually on display at Edinburgh Castle but will have a leading role in today’s Ceremony, so we are featuring them today!
The Princess Royal joined King Charles III and Queen Camilla as they hosted a Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh on July 4th, on their first visit to Scotland following their Coronation in May. There are usually four annual Garden Parties hosted by the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Holyrood House for around 30,000 guests yearly, as well as a few special others, including one at Hillsborough Castle this year.

The son of a Danish Prince & a British Princess who became the Norwegian Chief of Defence during WWII and then the beloved ‘People’s King’, King Olav’s birthday was lavishly celebrated over the years, with a series of lavish Banquets and glittering Gala Performances in Oslo.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were on a two-week Tour of Canada on this day in 1973, 50 years ago, to celebrate the Centenary of Prince Edward Island’s entry into Confederation, the Tercentenary of the City of Kingston, and the Centennial of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Queen and Duke were back in Canada later that month for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 1973.
