The Princess of Asturias joined King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia as they presided over the ceremony of delivery of Dispatches and appointments to the new officers of the Army who have completed their training at the Academia General Militar in Zaragoza. The Princess of Asturias will begin three years of military training at the Academia General Militar in September, followed by a year in a Naval School and a third year in the Air Force Academy.

The Ceremony began with Ordnance Honours with salutes, followed by the King (in the Order of Military Merit) reviewing the Officer’s Formations before the King and Queen handed over the Royal Office of Honorary Lieutenant to the family of Knight Ensign Cadet Pablo Jerez Sanjuán, who died in the line of duty. Following the Parade, the King, Queen and the Princess of Asturias (wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece) had a meeting with the authorities attending the event and with the new officers.
