Following visits to Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands, Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg were received by Pope Leo XIV on a visit to the Vatican on January 23rd, their first visit after the Accession of Grand Duke Guillaume V in October.
Hereditary Grand Duke Charles and Prince François joined Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie had an audience with the new Pope Leo XIV at the Apostolic Palace during a visit to the Vatican.
On this occasion, Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess were received in audience by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV.
The program also includes an audience between HRH the Grand Duke and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, with His Eminence Monsignor Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of His Holiness.
For the first time, Grand Duchess Stéphanie exercised her Privilège du Blanc, the special Papal Privilege that allows certain Catholic Queens and Consorts to wear white in the presence of the Pope.
