King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain are hosting French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron on a State Visit to Spain on September 29th and 30th, to strengthen political, economic, and diplomatic ties.
In the morning, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia officially welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron in an Official Welcome Ceremony in the courtyard of the Royal Palace in Madrid. During the ceremony, the King and President reviewed a battalion of the Royal Guard and viewed the Parade.
Later, the King and Queen hosted a luncheon for President and Madame Macron at the Palace of La Zarzuela, following a meeting between the King and the President.
In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia held a State Banquet in honour of President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macro at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Both the King and President gave speeches.
