King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the annual Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony and Banquet in Oslo on December 10th. While the other Noble Prizes are awarded by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, only the Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo. Continue reading

King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway are hosting President Borut Pahor of Slovenia, who is on a State Visit to Norway on November 6th and 7th, to celebrate and build diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties. Continue reading
King Harald hosted the annual Gala Dinner for Members of the Norwegian Parliament (Stortingsmiddag) at the Royal Palace of Oslo on October 17th. They were joined by Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Astrid, as they the processed through the Speilsalen, Small Dining Room, Small Ballroom, and the Great Ballroom into the Banqueting Hall. Officials and the King gave speeches before dinner. Queen Sonja and Crown Princess Mette-Marit pulled out due to last minute illness. Continue reading
