King Charles III and Queen Camilla are attending the annual Braemar Highland Gathering in Braemar in Ballater, Aberdeenshire on September 5th, during their annual summer holiday at Balmoral Castle.
The King and Queen watched competitors compete in Running, Heavy Weights, Solo Piping, Light Field and Solo Dance.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have joined cheering crowds watching Highland games events at the annual Braemar Gathering in Royal Deeside.
The event, which draws spectators from around the world, is held on the first Saturday of September every year and coincides with the monarch’s annual summer holiday at nearby Balmoral.
There has been an annual gathering at Braemar, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, for over 900 years, with the Games being a fixture on the Royal Calendar since the 1840s.
