Order of the Garter Service 

The British Royal Family joined King Charles III and Queen Camilla to attend the Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on June 15th, following the Trooping the Colour Ceremony.

The Garter Knights and the Royal Family, led by King Charles III and Queen Camilla along with the Prince of Wales, Princess Royal, Duke of Edinburgh, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, processed on foot to St George’s Chapel for the Garter Day Service, while the Duke of Kent was driven.

Following the Service, the members of the Royal Family departed St George’s Chapel in carriages for their return journey to the Castle. The Princess of Wales, Duchess of Edinburgh and Sir Timothy Laurence were also present along with the other spouses of the Garter Knights.

The oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, the Most Noble Order of the Garter is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales and 24 members as well as members of the Royal Family, known as Royal Knights and Ladies, and Foreign Sovereigns, known as Stranger (or Extra) Knights and Ladies.
