King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom are hosting Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad Bin Suhaim Al Thani on their State Visit to Britain on December 3rd and 4th.
The Prince and Princess of Wales (wearing the Queen’s Japanese Pearl Choker and Bahrain Pearl Earrings) greeted the Amir of Qatar and Sheikha Jawaher at their Residence in London, before traveling with them to Horse Guards Parade.
King Charles III formally welcomed the Amir of Qatar and Sheikha Jawaher at the Royal Pavilion on Horse Guards Parade, while the Guard of Honour played a Royal Salute and the Qatari National Anthem was played as part of the Ceremonial Welcome.

The King accompanied the Amir to inspect the Guard of Honour, formed by F Company Scots Guards before joining the Sheikha and the Prince and Princess of Wales, for a carriage procession in the Diamond Jubilee, Irish and the Scottish State Coaches along The Mall to Buckingham Palace, where they were met by Queen Camilla (wearing Queen Mary’s Russian Sapphire Cluster Brooch).
Following a private lunch at Buckingham Palace, the King and Queen invited the Amir of Qatar and Sheikha Jawaher to view an exhibition in the Picture Gallery of items from the Royal Collection relating to Qatar, including from Royal Visits in 1979 and 1986, joined by other members of the Royal Family, including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent.
In the afternoon, the Amir and Sheikha Jawaher visited Westminster Abbey, where they took a tour of the Abbey, accompanied by the Dean of Westminster and the Chapter. The Amir traveled to Palace of Westminster where he addressed gathered Parliamentarians and other invited guests before joining a reception with Members of the House of Lords and Members of Parliament. Later, the Amir was received by the Prince of Wales at Kensington Palace.
In the evening King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted a State Banquet in honour of Emir of Qatar (in the Order of the Bath) and Sheikha Jawaher at Buckingham Palace, at which both the King and Amir gave speeches.
Queen Camilla wore Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, the Queen’s City of London Fringe Necklace, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Prince of Wales wore White Tie with the Garter, Sash and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Star of the Order of the Thistle, and his Medals.
The Princess Royal wore the Cartier Aquamarine Pine Flower Tiara, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Garter, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Edinburgh wore her Aquamarine Tiara with the Sash and Star of the Royal Victorian Order, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Duchess of Gloucester wore the Gloucester Honeysuckle Tiara and pieces of the Pearl and Emerald Suite with the Order of the Garter, the Royal Family Order of King Charles III, and the Royal Family Order of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Marchioness of Lansdowne wore the Lansdowne Diamond Floral Tiara.
