The British Royal Family attended the Third Day of Races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 18th. Royal Ascot is a permanent fixture on the British Royal Family’s June calendar following Trooping the Colour and the Order of the Garter Service and the late Queen attended all five days of the horse-racing event for over 70 years.
A Royal Procession of four carriages traveled from Windsor Castle to the Ascot Racecourse in horse-drawn landaus, before the Royal Family and their guests spent the day in the Royal Enclosure.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla (wearing the Queen Mother’s Shell Brooch) were joined by the Earl of Snowdon and Isabelle de la Bruyère in the First Carriage.
In the Second Carriage, the Princess Royal (in the Queen’s Three-Strand Pearl Necklace) and Sir Timothy Laurence were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (wearing her Black and White Pearl Necklace).
Princess Zahra Aga Khan was joined by Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani, Zara Tindall and Willie Mullins in the Third Carriage.
Lord and Lady Cavendish sat with Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt in the Fourth Carriage.
