King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium hosted their traditional New Year Reception for members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Kingdom of Belgium at the Royal Château de Laeken on January 9th.
King Philippe and Queen Mathilde held their traditional New Year Reception for the Heads of the Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Court in Brussels, and their partners, at the Royal Château de Laeken.
The heads of missions were invited to this reception at the Château de Laeken, the home of the sovereigns, with their husbands and wives.
It is also at the Château de Laeken that the King and Queen of the Belgians will organize on 14 January the reception in honour of the Secretary General of NATO and the permanent representatives to NATO.
The last major event linked to the New Year always takes place on 31 January and is organized at the royal palace for the country’s authorities.


King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain also held their annual Reception for members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Kingdom of Spain earlier today.
King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark hosted a New Year’s Levée for the Diplomatic Corps at Christiansborg Palace on January 6th, after the New Year’s Court (Nytårskur) and Banquet.
