Wedding of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo

European High Society celebrated the spectacular Wedding of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo on the Borromean Islands in Lake Maggiore on this day in 2015, 10 years ago, following their Civil Wedding at the Palais Princier de Monaco.

Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover and the late Stefan Casiraghi, married Beatrice Borromeo, daughter of Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, Count of Arona and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto, in a Civil Ceremony at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

After the ceremony, the newlywed couple appeared with the Princely Family on a Balcony of the Palais Princier ahead of a Reception for 700 in the Palace Gardens.


In the evening, there was a Gala Dinner at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo.

Beatrice Borromeo wore Valentino gowns for both events, as well a pair of Köchert Morganite Earrings, which were a wedding gift from Princess Caroline.

Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover and the late Stefan Casiraghi, married Beatrice Borromeo, daughter of Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, Count of Arona and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto, in a Religious Ceremony on the Island of Isolino de San Giovani, one of the Borromean Islands in Lake Maggiore which has been owned by Borromeo Family since the 16th century, before a Reception on the Island of Rocca d’Angera.

In the evening, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo held a glittering Reception at the Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Bella.

The previous evening, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo were joined by their families for a Celebration in the Italian town of Stresa.

Beatrice Borromeo wore an ivory Giorgio Armani Privé gown with antique diamond flowers from Princess Caroline in her hair, before changing into a grecian Giorgio Armani Privé gown paired with Princess Caroline’s Chaumet Wings.

Royal Guests and Relatives in Italy included Princess Caroline, Andrea and Tatiana Casiraghi, Charlotte Casiraghi, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, and Princess Stephanie, Pauline Ducruet.

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway led members of European High Society.

Today marks the Anniversary of the Wedding of Pierre Casiraghi, son of Princess Caroline of Monaco and Hanover, and Beatrice Borromeo, daughter of Don Carlo Ferdinando Borromeo, Count of Arona and Countess Donna Paola Marzotto, who got married on this day in 2015! To mark the day, we are taking a look the lavish celebrations for their Wedding in Monaco and Italy.

On July 25th, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo got married in a Civil Ceremony at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, which was followed by a Reception for 700 in the Palace Gardens and a Gala Dinner at the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo that evening. Beatrice Borromeo wore Valentino gowns for both events, as well a pair of Topaz earrings, which were a wedding gift from Princess Caroline.

The entire Wedding Party them moved to Italy, where Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo were joined by their family for a pre-Wedding Celebration in the Italian town of Stresa on July 31st, for which the bride wore a lace-trimmed Alberta Ferretti gown.

The next day, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo got married in a religious ceremony on the Island of Isolino de San Giovani, one of the Borromean Islands in Lake Maggiore which has been owned by Borromeo Family since the 16th century, which was followed by a reception on the Island of Rocca d’Angera. Beatrice wore an ivory Giorgio Armani Privé gown with antique diamond flowers from Princess Caroline in her hair.

After the Religious Ceremony, the new Beatrice changed into a grecian Giorgio Armani Privé gown paired with Princess Caroline’s Chaumet Wings for an evening Reception at the Palazzo Borromeo on Isola Bella, the largest of the Borromean Islands.

  1. This is such a beautiful couple and it looks like they’re still very happy with their two boys. All her dresses were fabulous and I was glad to see that Princess Caroline lent her new daughter-in-law some of her jewels. I wonder why didn’t she wear any of the Grimaldi tiaras. I think Princess Grace’s small festoon tiara would have looked lovely on her!
