Happy 21st Anniversary to Crown Princess Margareta and Princess Radu of Romania, who got married on this day in 1996 in Lausanne. The couple have no children and reside at the Elisabeta Palace in Bucharest. In honour of their anniversary, we are featuring their wedding below-
Crown Princess Margareta of Romania, the eldest daughter of King Michael of Romania and Princess Anne of Bourbon-Parma, married Radu Duda at the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Gerasimos in Lausanne, in a ceremony performed by His Beatitude Metropolitan Damaskinos of Switzerland.
Crown Princess Margareta wore the Cartier Essex Tiara.

Among the numerous royal guests were Queen Sofia of Spain, King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie of Greece, Empress Farah of Iran, Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Yugoslavia, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg, and Infanta Elena of Spain.

After the ceremony, the couple were greeted by crowds outside the Cathedral, and drove away in the vintage car.
