Today marks the Anniversary of the Death of Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, who passed away on this day in 2004, at the age of 102! The daughter of the fabulously wealthy Duke of Buccleuch who married the third son of King George V and Queen Mary, the Duchess was the longest-lived member of the Royal Family, and possessed a fabulous collection of jewellery, the highlight of which was the Gloucester Diamond Earrings!

Royalty at Wimbledon 2023

The Royal Family have been present at multiple days of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon this month, so we are rounding them all in this article. Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious. The Princess of Wales is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club while the Duchess of Gloucester is the President of the Lawn Tennis Association .

Royal Ascot 2023 | Day 1

It’s that time of year again! The British Royal Family attended the first day of races at the Ascot Racecourse on June 20th. Royal Ascot is a permanent fixture on the British Royal Family’s June calendar and the late Queen attended all five days of the horse-racing event for over 70 years. Order of the Garter Service 2023

The British Royal Family joined the King and Queen to attend the Service for the Most Noble Order of the Garter at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on June 19th, following Trooping the Colour and the Coronation. The oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, the Most Noble Order of the Garter was founded by King Edward III in 1348, and is limited to the Sovereign, the Prince of Wales and 24 members as well as members of the Royal Family, known as Royal Knights and Ladies, and Foreign Sovereigns, known as Stranger (or Extra) Knights and Ladies. Today marks the Anniversary of the Birth of Queen Mary, who was born on this day in 1867! The Teck Princess who lived through the reigns of six monarchs and was the Queen Consort for twenty-five years, as well as a Queen Mother to two Kings and the Queen Grandmother to Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Mary assembled much of the British Royal Family’s spectacular Jewellery Collection, which includes the Teck Turquoise Tiara!

Royal Family at the Chelsea Flower Show 2023

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra, and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent joined King Charles and Queen Camilla for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on May 20th, while the Princess of Wales attended the first ever Children’s Picnic. Members of the Royal family have attended the Show, held by the Royal Horticultural Society, regularly since its inception in 1913. Continue reading

Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla

Royalty and Heads of State from around the world have gathered to join the British Royal Family for the spectacular Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey on May 6th, which is the first British Coronation in 70 years. The Ceremony follows the King’s Accession Council in September as well as a Reception for Royalty and Heads of State at Buckingham Palace.

Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey

The Royal Family joined the Princess of Wales for the second annual ‘Together at Christmas’ Carol Service at Westminster Abbey on December 15th. Spearheaded by the Princess, and supported by the Royal Foundation, the service recognises the selfless efforts of individuals, families and communities across the UK, and celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection and togetherness can bring.
