Happy Birthday to Prince Michael of Kent, who turns 75 today. The youngest son of Prince George, Duke of Kent and Princess Marina of Greece, his father sadly died in a plane crash six weeks after his birth. Educated in England, he attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and served in the Army. In 1978, Prince Michael married Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz in Vienna. Since his wife was Roman Catholic, he lost his place in the line of succession, though he was reinstated in 2013. Prince and Princess Michael have two children and reside at Kensington palace. He does not carry out any official duties, although he does represent his cousin, Queen Elizabeth II, at events at home and abroad. Click HERE to check out his website.
