Today marks the 90th Anniversary of the Death of Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg and Gotha | Grand Duchess Victoria Feodorovna of Russia, who passed away on this day in 1936! The daughter of a British Prince and Russian Grand Duchess who first married the Grand Duke of Hesse and then Grand Duke Kirill Vladimirovich, who became the Russian Tsar in exile, Grand Duchess Victoria Melita possessed a plethora of important jewels, which included this magnificent Sapphire Tiara and Parure!

Archduchess Isabella’s Köchert Diamond Fringe Tiara

Yesterday marked the 170th Anniversary of the birth of Archduchess Isabella, Duchess of Teschen, who was born in 1856. The Princess of the House of Croÿ married Archduke Friedrich, Duke of Teschen, and had eight daughters and one son, who made prominent marriages within several European royal houses. Since we have already featured her iconic Habsburg Peridot Parure, today we will be focusing on her Diamond Fringe Tiara!

The ‘Grandmother of Europe’ who mourned her husband for over 40 years, and whose Reign saw immense change and expansion of the British Empire, becoming second-longest reigning British Monarch and the British Empress of India, Queen Victoria possessed some magnificent jewels, which included this Diamond Crown!
